Hello
My name is Wasswa Robbins, and I am a fine art photographer (and U.S. Naval officer) based in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. I was introduced to photography and trained by an acclaimed British photographer when I was seven years old, living in Kampala, Uganda.
My enthusiasm for the medium increased when I entered high school in the United States and learned about film photography. I instantly fell in love with developing my film and producing black and white photos in the darkroom.
As an amateur photographer, my areas of interest include nature, people from diverse cultures, landscapes, wildlife, and documenting my travels.
My photography has been exhibited at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA, and published in arts and literature magazines, including Atlanta Celebrates Photography, The Curated Fridge, The Texas Photographic Society, and Signature Magazine. I was humbled to receive The Lovett School 2020 Fine Arts Award, and 2021 Vinita Therrell Leake Art Award.
In May 2025, I graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science Degree. I majored in Foreign Area Studies with an emphasis on China and Mandarin.
I'm honored to serve the United States as a Surface Warfare Officer, volunteer as I'm able with impactful nonprofits, and further develop my passion for photography.
